The Department of Computer Science is the heir to a princely heritage of academic excellence. The MCA programme was started in the Golden Jubilee year 2002-03. The MCA programme is of three years duration with two semesters for each year. This programme with a batch strength of 60 students is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to M.G. University, Kottayam. The MCA programme offered by the department maintains the superlative standards of academic excellence sustained by the college.
The newly built MCA block was blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr. George Punnakottil, Patron in the year 2011-12. In the academic year 2014-15, the department got affiliation for the new course MCA (Lateral), a two year programme with batch strength of 60 students. The 2 year MCA programme with the strength of 60 students is converted to 3 year programme in academic year 2019-20 resulting a total strength of 120 students in the MCA Regular programme.
By the year 2019, 15 MCA Batches and 4 MCA (Lateral) batches were passed out with flying colors.
