Admission

The MCA programme at NIRMALA offers a two year Master degree programme approved by AICTE and affiliated to the MG University Kottayam, having an intake capacity of 120 students.

A candidate seeking admission to MCA programme must have

Candidate should have passed BCA/ B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ B.Sc. (IT) / B.E. (CSE)/B.Tech. (CSE) / B.E. (IT)/ B.Tech. (IT) or equivalent Degree from a recognized University.

OR

Candidate should have passed any graduation degree(e.g:B.E/B.Tech./B.Sc/B.Com./B.A/B.Voc. etc.,) preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level from a recognized University.

OR

Candidates with such degrees awarded by the Mahatma Gandhi University or any other degree programmes recognized as equivalent to the above listed programmes by the Mahatma Gandhi University are also eligible to apply.

In such cases candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

For graduate under grading system, percentage of marks is calculated by the grade to percentage conversion formula provided from the concerned University.

The Syllabus of the bridge course included in the MCA Regular (2 Years) Scheme, Syllabus, Regulation of Affiliated Colleges 2020 onwards supports students without either Mathematics or Computer

Bridge Course framed by the University is a compulsory course for those students having no Mathematics or Computer background.

**Fees are subject to change by University/Government norms, from time to time.

The admission procedure in the affiliated colleges should be based on the norms stipulated by the Admission Supervisory Committee (ASC) and approved by Mahatma Gandhi University.

The total seats are divided into two categories: 50% of the total seats come under Government Quota & 50% under Management Quota. Admission to Government Quota is through the allotment process based on
the Kerala MCA Entrance rank list (LBS). For Management seats the admission will be based on the rank list published by the state Govt./LBS.

Candidates need to submit Online Application

  • Read the application form carefully before you start to fill it up.
  • Keep handy the following items.
  • Soft copies of required certificates
  • A recent passport size photograph (colour)(200px X 150px) and signature(150px X 100px) in jpg file.
  • Fill in all the required details and do the final submission
  • Admit Card of the Entrance Examination.
  • Allotment Memo and Fee receipt
  • Result sheet of the Entrance Examination in original (If available)
  • SSLC or any relevant school records in original to prove date of birth
  • Mark List of Plus II / PDC/ Equivalent in original
  • Originals of Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate and Mark list of the qualifying exam
  • Originals of Certificates, the copies of which are enclosed with the print out of application form
  • Transfer certificate and conduct certificate from the institution where the candidate studied last/li>
  • Four copies of passport size photograph of the candidate
  • Applicant who is employed or a trainee in Government service, Scheduled Bank etc. should produce, at the time of interview, a relieving order and a certificate of good conduct from the Head
    of the office where the applicant is employed
  • The student who qualifies from other universities should produce migration certificate at the time of admission
  • Candidates who passed their qualifying examination from Universities/Boards outside the State shall produce “Eligibility Certificate / Equivalency Certificate” from any of the Universities
    in Kerala
  • True copy of Aadhaar card
